Verizon Smart Rewards - Auctions
Verizon Smart Rewards Live auctions puts you at the center of the action, where your points can win you things like electronics, sports tickets, gift cards to brand name retailers and restaurants, even exclusive experiences.
You could walk away with a great deal TODAY simply by using your points to bid. So, how do you start? Sign in to the Verizon Smart Rewards site and click on Auctions from the Smart Rewards navigation.
You'll see links on the left navigation bar that help you filter your auction choices to make it easier to find what you're looking for. There are two basic ways to use your points for Auctions. In "Points Only" auctions, you'll bid using only your points toward winning items without spending any money. In "Points Plus Dollars" auctions, you'll bid points to win substantial savings on items - like 75% off a $100 product.
When you see something you like, click to view more details like product information, time left in the auction, the current leading bid, and the "Next Bid" - the number of points you'll need to become the new leading bidder. Ready to bid? Simply click "Place Bid" and your points will be deducted from your Verizon Smart Rewards account.
A message bar will let you know when you're the new leading bidder or when you're outbid, so you can race against the auction's clock without missing a bid.
Don't worry, if someone outbids you, your points get added back to your account instantly. There's nothing to lose.
You can find an auction's ending time on the Details page. "Extended Play" auctions may continue past the closing time if people are still bidding on the item.
If you're in a bidding war over an Extended Play item when it's time for the auction to close, the countdown will reset each time someone places a new bid, giving everyone a pre-set amount of time to counter-bid. The clock will continue to reset until the bidding stops.
If you're a winning bidder, congratulations! A "Claim Now" button (as well as a message and email) will signal to you that the auction has ended and you can immediately start the quick and easy checkout process.
And remember, with Verizon Smart Rewards, you earn points fast! So why not use them? Try an auction today!
