Pixel 6 / 6 Pro - Manage Mobile / Wi-Fi Hotspot Settings

Here's how to configure Mobile / Wi-Fi Hotspot Settings (e.g., password, network name, etc.) on your Pixel 6 / 6 Pro.
  1. From a Home screen, swipe up to display all apps.
  2. Navigate:
    Settings Settings icon
    Network & internet
    Hotspot & tethering
    .
  3. Tap
    Wi-Fi hotspot
    .
  4. Tap
    Use Wi-Fi hotspot
     then tap to turn on Switch on.
  5. From the Wi-Fi hotspot screen, set up the following.
    • Hotspot name
    • Security
      • WPA2-Personal
      • None
        If presented with a Warning screen, tap
        Continue
        .
    • Hotspot password
      Password can be changed.
  6. Tap
    Turn off hotspot automatically
     to turn on Switch on or off Switch off.
  7. Tap
    Extend compatibility
     to turn on or off.
